The failure mode is ordinary. The phone rings during move-in weeks, when a living room shows every wrinkle the day the couch arrives, nobody answers, and the ripple at the doorway stays, and the furniture goes back on a loose floor.
Anita answers and writes which rooms ripple, and whether this is a power stretch or a restretch before talking about a clock time. The Tack strip feet turns those counts into feet of tack strip so the company sees a size, not a vague "can you come look."
Then one company is offered the note. A local stretcher does the floor. Anita does not move the piano. If the window cannot be met, the caller hears the next real opening, not a promise that keeps the board pretty.
The note is the product. A callback that skips which rooms ripple, and whether this is a power stretch or a restretch creates the second angry call.
